Educational Qualification: —
(a) For Engineering and Technology: B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in relevant branch with 1st class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech.
(b) For M.C.A.: B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in relevant branch with 1st class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. OR B.E./B.Tech. and M.C.A. with 1st class or equivalent in either B.E./B.Tech. or M.C.A. OR M.C.A. with 1st class or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience.
Age Limit: Maximum 35yrs as on 01.01.2013
Pay Scale: Rs.15600—39100 and Grade Pay: Rs.6000/-
2. MEDICAL OFFICER (GENERAL DUTY) Educational Qualification: Any of the Medical qualifications included in the First or Second Schedule or Part – II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and registration as Medical Practitioner in West Bengal.
Desirable: Six months’ practical training as House Staff in Government hospital or other recognized Institution.
Age Limit: Maximum 32yrs for ordinary Medical Graduates and 40 years for those possessing Post-graduate Medical qualifications on 1.1.2013
Pay Scale: Rs.15600—42000 plus Grade Pay: Rs.5400 plus other allowances.
ESSENTIAL FOR ALL ABOVE POSTS: Candidates must have ability to read, write and speak in Bengali language (Not applicable for Nepali speaking candidates from the hill areas of the District of Darjeeling)
Upper age relaxation: The benefits of reservation of vacancies and upper age concession upto 5 years are admissible only to S.C. and S.T. candidates of West Bengal, 10 years for PWD and upto 3 years to O.B.C. (category ’A’ or ‘B’) candidates of West Bengal.
S.C., S.T. and B.C. candidates of other States may apply for unreserved vacancies as general candidates.

Application Fee: Candidates must enclose with the application a fee of Rs. 210/- only by Indian Postal Order which must be crossed and endorsed to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal and payable at G.P.O., Kolkata. OR by a receipted Challan from a Govt. Treasury in West Bengal or the Reserve Bank of India, Kolkata under the head “0051-00-105-State PSC Examination fees- 001-Examination fees-16 other fees”.
S.C./S.T. of West Bengal and Persons with Disabilities are not required to pay any fee.
The application form must be enclose with Self-certified or Attested (by Gazetted Officer) copies of testimonials in support of eligibility — (i) Madhyamik or equivalent certificate. (ii) S.C./S.T./O.B.C. (category ’A’ or ‘B’)/Persons with Disability certificate issued by competent authority. (iii) Registration certificate for citizenship (if by registration) as required under item 9(b) of the application, (iv) Mark-sheet and certificate for each examination passed, (v) Experience certificate (as applicable) and Etc.
Two self-addressed unstamped envelopes and one self-addressed post card should be enclosed with the application.
